• Gender & Culture in Transition: Continuing the Conversation

To continue the conversations started last October, CCAPW invites you to another special issue forum to kick off October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month:

    Saturday, October 10, 2015
    9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
    Clovis Community College

This gathering, co-sponsored by Centro La Familia Advocacy Services Inc. and the Asian Pacific Institute on Gender-Based Violence, will again convene community leaders and professionals who work with Fresno’s Hmong American community.

At this event, participants will listen to and discuss strategies to effectively address the problem of domestic violence within the context of gender equity and community change in the Hmong community.

Because of the sensitive nature of these discussions, CCAPW intends to provide a safe environment conducive to meaningful conversations and so we are not doing broad, public outreach for this event. If you work in collaboration with other individuals and organizations, we invite you to pass along this invitation to people in your support networks who may also want to participate in this conversation.
